Materials still move through most facilities the way they always have: on forklifts, tuggers or fixed routes, guided by whoever is available. It works, but it can also create waiting, inconsistent replenishment and extra pressure on teams that are already stretched thin. 

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are self-navigating mobile robots that move materials inside facilities without fixed routes. This session introduces AMRs in plain terms: what they are, how they differ from older automated transport, and where manufacturing and logistics teams are using them today. 

You'll walk through common first use cases, line-side delivery, pallet movement, cart transport, and replenishment, and leave with a practical way to spot where automation could remove friction in your own operation.
